Why we are here, a personal note from Sally
Bishop
For those that do not know the history of my
operation, I will set out a potted version.
In June 1988, I
was trained by Ned Herrmann in the United States to understand,
score and apply his first-class thinking-style analysis, the
H.B.D.I.. On returning, I decided to use my company, Mind Management
Ltd., as a vehicle to launch the concept in the U.K.. At Ned’s
request, I changed the trading name and Ned came over for the launch
of the Herrmann Institute UK in 1989. From that point, the company
became Ned’s official representation in the UK - scoring the
H.B.D.I. and running official Accreditation - until his death late
in December, 1999.
The global roll-out of the H.B.D.I. has
been undergoing a makeover in very recent years and there have been
a variety of new developments. It is with a sense of sadness that I
have decided the very considerably increase in investments I would
have to make to continue my official role is not viable and I found
it necessary to resign the status in 2003.
It is
indisputable, however, that I
have every right personally to score and administer the H.B.D.I.
and so I shall continue to do so - and will share my 15 years of
experience with those interested in the H.B.D.I. - for the rest of
my working life.
I remain associated with some of the most experienced,
talented and professional HBDI practitioners in the UK many of whom
were also trained by Ned Herrmann over ten years ago. Harnessing the
varied experience of this team, training workshops and consultancy
can be undertaken on any topic and at any level. We look forward to
continuing our high standard of integrity and service to clients
well into the future.
